Default Motor Mounts for V1? (POLL)

I've read several threads including "I installed mounts when I did my headers" threads. Short of tallying the "votes" for certain mounts from each thread, I thought I'd create a new one to help me and others figure out which mounts to go with. Which ones did you install and are they awesome?

From what I've read, I'm considering UMI, Creative Steel and Revshift.

It sounds like I can't go wrong with any of these in terms of quality. I guess the next question would be with regard to vibration. Would love to keep that as low as possible although I know (having used mounts on past cars) nothing will be like stock. And that's fine with me. Go!

Creative Steel. Not too harsh; but nice and firm

I have UUC...but if I were to replace them, I would go with UMI.

I was running custom solid mounts for 2 years (I'm selling them btw). They were excellent. Moved to CS to de-race my car a little but vibes honestly are about the same between the 2.

I was think of doing the opposite.. i have CS installed and now they rub very slightly on the header on hard fast right turns.. i have a set of RC51 mounts sitting on the self didn't want to go full race car.

so your saying vibs are about the same with the current engine setup? or stock?

I found no discernible differences between my rc51s and the CS mounts. Kind of a waste for me. Bear in mind my car is somewhat heavily modified so lots of other factors come into play but just an observation.

It's quite possible that I'm just that acclimatized to the loud these days

Yeah. Doesn't seem like many Caddy folks have used Revshift, but I've seen them in other applications.

Which hardness did you get?

You know...to be honest, if UMI had another one of those sales right now, that would probably put me over the fence on those. Probably.

Glad that worked out...looking forward to hearing your thoughts. At $150, they are definitely the least expensive $90 less than CS and $100 less than UMI.

The Revshift look like the way to go. I have the CS mounts and they are not to my liking...after reading reviews, I don't think the UMI would be for me either. I really like that Revshift offers the choice of a softer mount.

I am installing a set of UMI's to replace the second set of UUC's I installed.

I have a set of RC51's also I never installed.
