Default cam help

Ok so the car had dropped a valve a couple weeks ago and since I have pretty much torn it down to bear block, I am wanting to get a bigger cam in there as the one in there is small.

Any ideas on a good all motor cam? I don't want to go MS4 as that maybe a little too big.

The car has full exhaust, intake, Patriot heads, high flow oil pump, ls7 clutch and slave.

Any thoughts on a good cam would be appreciated

I have an MS3, and contrary to popular belief, the driveability is actually very good after i got it tuned.

which springs are you putting in the heads?

The heads came filled, I cant remember what springs were in there exactly, I'll ahve to check when I get home, I just remember they are good to a .650 lift

I'd stay in the 230's, around .600 lift and a 112lsa. Id go with something similar to a G5x2 or even a bit smaller for NA... As kevin said the MS3 is prob going to be your top cutoff. I have heard if tuned correctly they do drive well daily. Going any bigger in our heavy clunker will only benefit you at the track and hinder you everywhere else.

Call eps and order the 230/238 112. When you do heads you don't need a huge cam a nice middle of the ground cam will do just fine.

I will look into this....right now it has an EPS 226/230 .598”/.600” 113LSA +4 advance, and its just a little guy, but those numbers you read are about what i was thinking, get rid of the advance, and make it a nice 112, 113 straight LSA

A lot of cams have advance ground in them...subtract the intake ICL from the LSA to find out what you have.
