Default Rev Shift Motor Mounts Installed

I'll do a full on writeup for these, but thought I'd post my initial thoughts since I've put 100+ miles on these so far. I wanted to wait until I got a few miles before posting.

They were a little taller than the UUC MM's I took out. Not sure if UUC's are taller than the stock mounts or same size? I thought they were the same height.

Initial thoughts:

The idle vibration is raised slightly compared to the UUC's. Now I realize this is all subjective....so a little insight:

The UUC's only vibrated slightly more than the stockers, so being the Rev Shifts being a harder urethane than the UUC's you feel the idle just a tad more like as if you had a tiny cam maybe?

The engine feels like it's more planted though like the power is getting transplanted to the ground a lot better. Placebo effect? I don't know.....but I like it.

I got the 80A blue ones (softer street ones) which are only $149.99....can't beat that price!

RevShift makes red ones (track ones) and even harder. So pick your poison.

All in all I'm happy with them because I like my power getting to the pavement. My UUC's weren't bad (I thought they were) but these are much firmer which hopefully translates to HP being used intsead of lost. (Like my butt dyno suggests) I'm digging em!

I have a $hit ton more pics, and I'll include them in the big writeup.

Going to sell your UUC's?

I stood behind my UMI ones for many arguments. But I've changed damn near everything else. I'm ready to try a different mount.

I just replaced my Creative Steels, which were horribly disfigured, with the Rev Shift red mounts.. I haven't ran the car yet so I can't comment on them yet, but I'll chime in once I put some miles on them. I have a lot left to do, install LS7 clutch, trans, starter, & headers before I am finished so it will probably be a couple weeks.

I'm happy with my UMIs too. Too bad these didn't show up when the UMIs did. You can't beat that pricing... but the UMIs look like they will last... FOREVER.

Not sure what you mean here. Even broken OE mounts transmit power to the ground. Only way you would "lose" power is if the engine were spinning in the engine bay.

Yes, the soft/loose mounts, the engine would turn, but no more than 5-10 degrees. After that, the mounts top/bottom out, and the power is transmitted to the ground. That, and the tranny mount pins the engine in place too.

I'm not trying to get too literal here.....it just seems like the engine is mounted to the car (oh wait it is) and more "connected" ....sorry for the lack of descriptive terminology

I just had a pair installed with DMM's help today. I also got the blue "soft" pair. Stock motor mounts were bad and supercharger is in so it should be interesting.
