Default Tire problems

Best tire shop in town can't get a 265/35 to expand & seal on my factory rim. Any tips? Don't understand how you all are getting 275-285s to seal & they can't get these to!

I don't see why those won't work. Should be simple even though they have a slightly shorter sidewall than a 275/35

Yeah he said he can't get them to seal in one spot. Tried 120 psi air, 160 psi nitrogen & co2.

Did they slime em up on the bead? Sometimes it helps to get em to seal up to the edge of the rim. Prob just sticky cause those 265's should fit an 8.5" wheel easy.

Most 265/35's have a rim width range of 9-10.5". But maybe it's a bad tire. He couldn't get any of the 4 to seal? Or just one of them?

Well it was just two. But he could not get either of them to seal. He said he slimmed them, flipped them, everything he could think of & he had 15 years experience. The tires were given to me by a friend who bought a set of wheels that he had already purchased new tires for. They are Kellys I believe. Have a good V pattern to them.

So as of right now I am running the 255/35/18 Bridgestones and the stock size Firestones on the rear. Looks gay but not much I could do about it. They didn't charge me anything (even for the two fronts they were able to mount). Couldn't complain too much.

My best advice, take them to another shop.

I'm pissed now!

After closer inspection I found that not only did they chip the paint on EVERY wheel, but they put different valve caps on them all (not a big deal) & left a lug off one of the fronts! Even though they didn't charge me for the work I will NOT be taking anything back there.
