Default Just bought an 05

Hi guys, just got an 05 cts v as a driver. My intentions are not to get carried away, but I would like to upgrade the vague shifter and wake it up with a tune. It appears as I may be a few years too late. What do you guys recommend that's currently available? Thanks for your thoughts.

K&N drop in, shifter, bushings, differential support, motor mounts, clutch, and tune will be perfect for a daily driver.

Shifter- PM Brian aka 07CTS-V on here
Bushings- Creative Steel
Diff Support- BMR
Motor Mounts- RevShift or Creative Steel
Clutch- LS7 clutch and lightweight flywheel

The shifter for sure. I installed a parrot head unit and my daily driving has improved 1000%.

I'd start there absolutely. Then, pick and choose what you want and do things gradually as needed.

Thanks, the only tune I've ever had was pcmforless on my 93 camaro. Do guys use sct tuners etc. or custom dyno tunes? The pcmforless website didn't list the mail order for this car. Thanks again.

Most guys on here use a full dyno tune. There are maybe a handful that tune their own cars.

If you want to do a mail order tune, wait4me does them for the V.

I wouldn't order from REVSHIFT!! I ORDERED MOTOR, TRANS, AND CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS 5 (five) WEEKS AGO FROM REVSHIFT ... STILL NO PARTS. They won't answer the phone and when they do its BS and never answer emails. last friday they finally answered the phone and gave me a shipping tracking number and it hasn't even been picked up for delivery. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM. I'll give you a update if I ever get my parts

Welcome to the forum! Short shifter and lighter clutch/flywheel will be a huge improvement and make the V lighter on its feet... Like others said do the motor mounts and other bushings for better ride quality as well

I have to say UMI motor mounts. My son works there and I am hoping that soon they are going to use my car as a test car to make more stuff for Vs. At the moment that is all they make.
