heater only gets luke warm
ok well as i have been posting here the last few weeks its because im trying to get this pos car i bought squared away. i wasnt being smart when i bought it and didnt check all the little things. anyways, the drivers side heater only gets luke warm. But the passenger get hot like its supposed to. Is there an actuator going out or something and if somebody might have had this problem can let me know how hard it was to change. 2004 cts v

It might be something that I could have done on my own, but not in -35c in an un-heated garage. Maybe could have avoided the issue with a coolant flush if I'd done that when I bought the car.

Check the other forum, Tommy C had a good post on his experience and I can't find it on this site. He had luck without any detergent, keep pressure low!

i cleaned out the heater core this morning and it didnt look like it was dirty. and still have the same luke warm air on driver side. i think it might be the blender this time.

On a lot of gm products, you can reset the blend doors by taking the battery cables loose and touch them together for 15 second then put em back on. God knows I've done it on over a hundred Chevy trucks. People don't use a memory saver when changing the battery. Worth a shot anyway.
