Default Ford 8.8 rear end 04-07 cts v

Can a 2003 mustang gt rear end fit in the 2006 cts v?? What needs to be done to get it in there? Or would keeping the stock rear end and having braces and what not on it it be better?

I have a 99 cobra that I'm parting out and I switched out the IRS with a solid and I'm parting the car out so I have this rear end and now I'm Thinking I could possibly put it in the cts v. Im new to this car so what needs to be done

So I just need the bracket girdle thing? What about other things. Will the stock axles work?

Ok so the solid pumpkin won't work? You have to have the IRS one?

I think you overlooked some sarcasm in your quoted posts up there. To clarify, gm engineers did not design our cars with a ford solid axle swap in mind.

You know ford did that. They had bolt in setup for IRS and solid. Thought maybe gm would have spots for solid to go in.
