Default Got rear-ended last night.

Like the title says, was on my way home from work stopped in the road waiting for traffic to make a left turn and got slammed from behind. Car doesn't look to good. Right rear quarter panel is crunched pretty bad all the way up the pillar, trunk is crushed, bumper cover and crash bumper are broke off, pretty sure the rear cradle is tweaked. Passenger rear tire looks like it moved forward an inch. Spare tire compartment is crushed in... I am guessing it will be totaled.

I will post pics when I go to our tow lot tomorrow... Only time I have ever had to use one of our tow trucks on my car...

I bounced my head off the steering wheel and my neck is sore. My back is in pain, feels like someone is stabbing me in the middle of the back. My left arm has been going numb all day today so I will be going back to the hospital tomorrow...

Air bag would have made it worse. Would have bounced him around like a pin ball. In rear end collisions the seat/headrest design are what matters. Also how the victim is sitting has alot to do with it. Not trying to place blame but I know when Im put in those situation I.E. stuck in traffic at a red light I sit up straight with my head against the headrest which is the safest brace type position if you were to get rear ended. I have been through what the OP is going through now.

With that said sorry to hear that OP, I hope you feel better quick. I went through months of physical therapy and deep tissue massage crap over something like this. I got rear ended by a full size pick up who never hit the breaks, in my old cavalier! The trunk and back seat were underneath me!
If it makes ya feel better I feel great now, there was no long term affects for me any way although I was very young at the time. Their insurance will take care of you. I had blood sucking lawyers calling me up wanting me to sue. Greedy F**ks. Its an amazing world we live in.

That does suck but glad you're alive to tell it. Hopefully you make a quick recovery and as for the car, there's plenty more out there

sorry man hope you heal up fast bro. They're always making cool new cars so you'll be in something soon again. the V doesn't look too bad my guess is it will be repaired or totalled out and somebody else will repair it.

I agree, that look repairable.

Do you have any of inside the trunk?

Get better!

Couldn't get the trunk open. I tried because I wanted to take my nitrous bottle out.

Sorry to hear. Feel better soon.

If the trunk's spare tire/tub area is a crush zone on these cars, then it's likely totaled since that takes a lot to repair to be structurally sound again for any possible future hit. Add in the quarter panel that will be hard to repair... probably done and wouldn't want it back. Add suspension, rear end bits, exhaust, etc. = $$. If they total, pull mods from it ASAP.
