After attempting to clean up what I thought was rust under my hood at the latch I discovered that it was a white powdery dust. I took a magnet to the section that was pitted and discovered that the hood was aluminum! Awesome.
Do all 03-07 CTS and 04-07 CTS-V have an aluminum hood?

Don't know about the base CTS, but all STOCK V's do.

Don't get too excited my DD 2000 Buick Park Avenue has an aluminum hood too lol

So did my '97 F-150.

Regular cts also has aluminum hood also. I just checked the other day. My CTS V also has some rust starting on the front of the hood above the chrome grille.
