Build: 2011 Twin Turbo CTS-V.
Decided I'd start off a build thread about my V. Don't usually have much time to do this so hopefully I don't leave many things out. I will post with updates every time I get them.
Car is currently in Central America. It's getting shipped up to DFW to SNL PERFORMANCE to hopefully become on of the most powerful street V2 CTS-V in the world. Car is leaving my house either tomorrow or Monday so it should begin being built in about 2-3 weeks. Parts are already being ordered and hopefully the car should be back to me before Christmas of this year.
Anyway, as the car sits it's just your typical bolt on/cam CTS-V with some spray. Car is an auto... 6L90. The car made 606whp on a conservative 87 tune and then 648rwhp with some more timing thrown at it, all at 11psi on 87 octane. Car then made over 800rwhp with a progressive 100 shot. Car was loads of fun and quick but I just hated always having to refill the bottle and one day a build thread came up on ctsvowners about a TT V and I started reading up and got more and more interested. Fate finally put me in the hands of Steve over at SNL and this is where the build begins.
The build:
I'm scrapping my whole engine and trans.
What I am getting:
Engine:
- LSx Block 4.155" Bore
- Dragonslayer Crankshaft
- Callies I Beam Rods
- Wiseco Pistons w/ Steel Top Rings/Napier 2nd
- Clevite H Rod and Main Bearings
- Durabond Camshaft Bearings
- Balanced/Blueprinted
- LS7 Based 6 Bolt PRC Heads
- LS7 Lifters (won't spin the motor over 6500, no need to)
- Manley 3/8" Pushrods
- Factory LS7 Rocker Arms w/Comp Trunion Upgrade
- ARP Head studs
- LS9 Head Gaskets
Turbo Kit:
- Factory GM CTSV Manifolds
- All SS mandrel bent hot side
- All Aluminum mandrel bent cold side
- Twin Tial 60mm Wastegates
- 50mm Tial Blow off valve
- Twin Precision 6766 T4 based turbochargers
- TurboWerx Scavange Pump
- Custom all black AN lines and fittings
- Custom front air to air intercooler
- Custom 3" mandrel bent catback exhaust
Boost Controller:
- Eboost2
Wideband:
- AEM UEGO
Fuel System:
- Fore Innovations Stage 4 Triple in tank pump setup
- 3 - 267 Walbro Pumps
- FC3 Staged Controller
- -10an Feed -8an Return
- Stainless Micron Filters
- Billet Filter Mount
- ID 2000 CC Injectors
Transmission:
- RPM Built 4L80E
Parachute Mount:
- Just cuz I think it looks so damn cool
As of now we are not going to touch the suspension. I might put some axles in but that's about it for now. I'm thinking the stock differential will be able to handle the power. I will be keeping my stock 3.23 gears.
When all is said and done I think the car will hopefully (cross fingers) make north of 1350rwhp through the automatic and I'd be happy if I get 155+ trap speeds out of it. These cars are a pig but I don't think 155-160 traps out of this combo are far off.

I originally bought the car in Feb. in Florida and had it sent to Formato to do what it has now except spray.
So now I'm re exporting it back to DFW to get this build and it will be coming back to me in Central America when it's done... Same thing the guys over in the Middle East do sometimes.

Yup. Trans also and some nice headers.
I was going to post it up in for sale with all mods. Don't have them all off top of my head but the LSA has:
ported snout and supercharger. a nice blower cam. top end upgrades. Bunch of stuff to be honest. Car made 606whp on 11psi.... It's a nasty setup.
All the parts will be in DFW at SNL in a couple weeks if anyone would want to see them and make an offer. I kind of know what I want for the whole setup but you can make individual offers for me to consider.

Couple of things:
where are you going to get fuel for this beast? You've talked about only being able to get 87 octane, and there's no way this thing is going to run on 87.
Second, it must be crazy living where you're car sits in a barbed wire fence parking lot.

We have plenty of VP here. It just costly and there's no reason to run it unless you have a beast like this. I'm not going to run VP in my 600whp V lol.. Not at $16/gal.
Second lol. Funny part is it's the really really nice part of town. Can never be too safe.

Update:
Ship leaves on Friday to US. Car should be at SNL hopefully by end of this month.
Also put the V on the dyno today and just confirmed to me that something is very wrong with the car. When car arrived it made 606rwhp. Couple months later made 540 and today made 460rwhp. Been progressively losing hp.. No idea why. Also suspension seems pretty shot so kind of good thing I am sending car up North!
