Default Time to buy a new cam!!!

OK guys I'm ready to buy a cam and need some ideas on what to get. It has a 125 shot, magnaflows, T56, LS7 clutch, and cold air. I want it to be a mild cam so i can drive the car on the street everyday.

I had the TR224 in my camaro and was pretty happy with it. Just would like everyones advise with the best street cam to go with and with spray.

Email PatG and have him spec something out for you then have Geoff at EPS cut it from billet.

I have a Patrick G and EPS cam. Haven't installed it yet, though.

Without headers, you're really going to be limited on the duration. Consider doing headers first, but if you really want to cam, talk to someone like Martin Smallwood at Tick. He will set you up with one that's optimal for your setup.

I'll second the vote to talk with Martin, I'm messaging him right now about having them custom grind a cam for my V as well. Mine will have a few more mods then what you're looking at right now, but still just going to be a street driven weekend warrior.

Keep us posted as to which cam you go with.

Its a good cam, better than many others out there, and the moderate lift will mean you can run beehives and run it up at higher RPMs. I think it needs more exhaust duration, however, to fully scavenge the exhaust gasses and make way for the fresh charge. More exhaust duration will give you more mid-range "for free", and will result in more overlap (and therefore more lope). Great cams for our heavy *** cars would be the SNS Stage 2, Streetsweeper HT and similar. If you want a cam with less lope that is a tad more DD friendly, talk to a tuner.

I had an eps 226/230 in my ecsb gmc and it ran really good. Was very healthy on spray as well.
