Default high flow cats and plug defoulers

I'm looking to buy a set of spark plug defoulers to use with a set of Magnaflow high flow cats. Curious as to what other's have used who were successful in preventing a CEL from popping up.

I see a lot of the standard shaped, short length versions

Wondering if a 90* version might offer better results allowing the O2 sensor to be pulled further from the exhaust stream.

Did that many years ago with an 01 C1500 truck I swapped 4.8 for a 6.0 with headers and duals. Got them off the "help" sec in the local auto parts store. Main thing I remember is that had to use 2 for each sensor, drill 1 so the O2 would fit in it, and the screw both into the 2nd, then screw all three in the pipe. Not exactly the right way, and having them turned off would be better, but kept my CEL out.

I have those cats and used the straight piece you have pictured. Need 4 total, drill 2. No steel wool needed

Also, no CEL for a year so far. Passed inspection in PA (Allegheny Co) OBDII and visual in September no prob.

Why aren't you guys having these tuned out instead? Money? Just wondering, not hating on ya.

Gravy, thank you.

I'm currently not tuned, and there's no cost justification to get one at this point with more significant mods planned for the future.

It's way cheaper, way more simple to do all at once. The O2 sensors already have to come out so other than drilling them ahead of time, there is zero extra effort.
