Default Revshift takes care of you.

I just wanted to throw up a little post for revshift. I bought a set of 80A motor mounts, new in package off the classifieds here. They were obviously purchased before they started including the heat-sleeves. Since they don't sell those separately anymore, I shot them a pm here asking how I can go about buying a pair. They just asked the name of the person I bought them from and my address. They sent a pair free of charge which I had in my hands in two days. Very cool. I even offered to pay shipping or at least something for them but they declined anything at all.

Fwiw they also answered each pm within minutes too. Highly recommend this company. I've bought a few other things from them direct and have always been pleased with their products, service and pricing. They do post some good sales here from time to time as well.

A+ vendor.

Enough guys have posted here, other Cadillac forums, BMW forums, etc etc, that people know 2 days to your door is not typical at all for their shipping.

It's been my experience that they ship within a week.

I didn't claim anything about what was typical. I simply shared what happened.

Enough people criticize when something goes wrong, so I figured a positive story wouldn't hurt. They went above and beyond and deserve a little credit.

I know customer service isn't what it used to be. When I was working in fields dealing with customers daily, it was All about how to get people to come back, going above and beyond. We replaced things outside of warranty, or tried every which way to get things right for the customer. I literally was about to get fired when one of my regulars came in and dropped like $5k in a retail store on clothes, motocross gear, shoes, etc. I was on the chopping block because he always got discounts from me, but he and his family only ever shopped with me... Having a lifetime warranty on something and then sending out a heat shield is covering the warranty, that's not going above and beyond. What's above and beyond about covering a warranty like you advertise?

A lot of warranties don't transfer to a secondhand buyer.

Correct. However revshift makes no stipulation about that on their website. It simply says "Lifetime Warranty" it does not say whether it transfers or not. So they should cover it even if it changes hands.

Did they kick your dog or something?

I had a positive experience and shared it. I know this is uncommon for the Internet but last I checked, it's still allowed.

Actually I was looking through their website further... Where as they say "Lifetime Warranty" on the motor mounts page... https://www.revshift.com/shop/polyur...llac-cts-v.php

They only say one year on their terms and conditions page... https://www.revshift.com/shop/terms-conditions.php

I'd be weary of any company that shows different warranties on their website. It seems like its there simply to confuse people.

I'd say revshift providing someone other than the original purchaser of motor mounts with heat sleeves is a pretty solid move regardless of warranty, you don't see that kind of thing happening very often with other types of manufacturers these days.

I picked up the red RUCA bushings over xmas and revshift has since changed them up a little due to some guys having binding issues, I still need to email them and see about exchanging what I have for the new version. I'm assuming it shouldn't be an issue, I don't want to have to install what I have just to prove I need the newer green RUCA bushings.

I'd recommend a pm here over an email. They responded very quickly to that.

Good luck. I wouldn't want to do that twice either.

sweet jebus, drop the drama already. It's a car forum, not a high school lunch room.

OP, glad to hear you got your heat shields. I checked up on mine last time I was under the car, and everything looked great. Happy with my mounts and shields from RevShift.

I bought the RUCA bushing before their update (which as far as I know is not out yet) and had not installed them. I PMed them, and they replied quickly that I was past the 30 day return policy deadline. Even though they were still in the box untouched. Not sure if they plan to replace them for free (or just the cost of shipping) or what they plan on doing. But I'm just waiting patiently for the updated (non-binding) bushing to come out. I'm sure revshift will correct any problems accordingly.

Edit: Kind of already impressed they have not chimed in on this thread yet.

Me too. I don't think there was much for them to add to until the discussion turned to the control arm bushings.
