I havent bypassed my skip shift yet. It bothers me some , but the electronics on this car are so sketchy i'm reluctant.

I disabled mine with the CAGS eliminator, more recently I've gotten a tune and I have removed the eliminator.

Just use a CAGS eliminator and call it a day. Totally worth doing.

I can't say I have really seen anything that leads to sketchy electronics. (ignoring some 2004 issue) Put a CAGS eliminator in and call it a day.

I still have it; get a skip so rarely it doesn't really concern me.
The glitchy reverse lockout on the other hand...

I found it pretty simple to drive around except when it was REALLY inconvenient. Like a left turn across traffic in the rain or snow when you'd want a low rpm shift or something like that. When it's a pain to be out of gear and hunting but revving out first is a bad idea too. So I bought a pair of connectors and used some resistors from work and made my own eliminator.

Got mine tuned out also. I did drive around with it enabled for about a year. It wasn't terrible, but much nicer without it.

I have had the car for 2 years now. Still haven't tuned it out or got a cags for it. I just start off in second or get first to over 18mph or whatever it is.

I had my stock pcm in when I put in my ls7/16lb ram flywheel and it was pretty bad with the lightweight flywheel. Seattle area has some hills so basically every shift I had to go back to at least 3rd but mostly 2nd.

Now I have a black bear pcm, much better now.

Yeah starting in second is how I dealt with it until I eliminated it. I have my hptuners now so I'll probably tune it out and sell the plug I made.

Both LS 6 speeds that I have owned came with it already eliminated. No issues with either.

I still have it installed but never hit it as I shift out of range so no issues here.

Ill jump on this offer if he skips on it. I have to replace my shifter anyways this week and this would be awfully convenient. PM me where I have to send the money.

I ordered my eliminator before I took delivery of my car. That one day was the worst.
