Default Got my CTS-V dyno tuned today.

And man was it horrible.

First run

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSoW...ature=youtu.be

I was told the K&N filter was oiled and the MAF needed to be cleaned.

Second and third run

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b88E...ature=youtu.be

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrEr...ature=youtu.be

This is the best they could do

They took off my engine cover to do a fuel pressure test and seen writing on the intake, they think it's a replacement motor in the car. My fuel pressure is dropping to 50 in the higher revs. I need to go back for MAF screen, fuel filter, plugs and wires. They also think I have crap fuel in the car. I go to a small station near my house and only use super. But he said he can almost guaranty im not runnin 91+.

I'll go back in for the repairs and they'll throw the car back on the dyno for no charge in a week or so.

Im not happy about this being around 20whp down from where I should be, but I am glad I got some info on my car

you picked up 20hp from a tune, or from cleaning the MAF?

How is this down 20hp from where you should be.

With no tune and headers I put down 363 and 363...

Numbers look right to me, you expected to make 360 with just a tune? We don't make the same numbers the Corvette guys do.

Yeah, I thought 330ish was pretty standard for a bone stock V even with CAI.

Once you polish up some of those details and retune maybe hit 350ish?

Also depends on the dyno.

The gentleman running the dyno said that with intake, exhaust, and tune, I should be around 360.

Nothing wrong with cleaning your MAF, but I don't think you'll see much more than you already have. A catback isn't where you'll see the gains from an exhaust system, headers are where it's at.

it has as much as 10-20% ethanol in it which lowers the stoich value of the gas... just because you have not had an issue yet does not mean you won't in the future... that's just playing with fire... drop it down and save yourself some worry... at most you would lose 4-5hp if that

Gas stations have trouble getting to e10 level, you arent going to see anything near e20.

He ran 20whp down IMO too.
Your dynojet shows 360, his shows an original run of 320! and then another of 340... Something is most likely up. Compression test, and time for upgraded fuel pump \ harness. One or the other might be on the way out.

The 360 is with Headers.

Also my baseline, is incredibly close to his and tunes don't make 34hp(not on a factory car).

Shouldn't my baseline had been higher with the intake installed?

Maybe, maybe not. You can find a lot of information from people who have both gained and lost power with an aftermarket intake. I'd say if you're comfortable with it that's more important.

If you're looking for more power headers will be the biggest bang for the buck.

He already has headers. LOL Thats the issue.
Compression test. Check to make sure thats the right engine in there too, if thats not the stock motor. Not some LS1 in there or something.

Where do you see that he has headers, he mentioned exhaust(catback) and a K&N.
