Do you still have the OEM shifter? I'd swap it for Brian's modified stock or Hurst.

I just dumped that for Brian's Hurst. And the Hurst is the way to go.

^ nice! I agree the hurst is legit. I have the privilege of swapping between the hurst ball or the stock V2 ****. I change it every so often..

I really need to get a sweet redline boot and wrap the shifter surroundings!

As an owner of a Ralco, while it's not a bad shifter, if I were to do it over, I'd do the Hurst hands down.

Not sure I'd pick $300 over free. Any of the options are that much better than stock. I'd pick the hurst hands down over anything available now that cost money, but if you have a part for free, I'd just use it.

I will, at some point, replace my Ralco with a Hurst. That said, it would definitely be worth selling it and buying the Hurst if only to save the hassle on installing one twice.

I have an AZN modified stocker with the lower pivot bearing and don't think I could talk myself into the extra $$ when something this simple that I already have works this well.

Maybe when/if the plastic pivot parts start wearing out or something. I know the hurst conversion is better for a few reasons both in looks and feel, but functionally, and budget-wise, free and/or already owned is not a bad choice given the room for improvement in the stock setup.

Great feedback..thanks guys...if the Hurst functions better...I will likely go that route.

like mentioned above. if your going to install it do it one time with the best option. i went from stock to ralco to hurst. should have just spent the money up front and done it right.
