Anyone actually have an Auto swapped V1
Finishing mine up now and tuning it this weekend. I have an 04 with cam, headers full exhaust, cai, ewp and a built 4l70e with a yank ss4000 stall. I haven't found anyone info on the swap. Just curious if anyone has one yet. I will try to start a build thread tonight just have to upload some pics.

I think he did have a th400. I wouldn't do that. Im talking about a full conversion with a 60,70 or 80e.
I've only found th400 cars and many keyboard mechanics saying they've they seen it done a million times with a 4l80e. After the amount of work it took to get that 70e in there to fit in the trans tunnel I would hate to think what it would take to fit in an 80e. You have any links or vids to any finished swaps?

Nothing wrong with a 400 except for fuel economy. But I thought someone did a 4L60 in there. Lemme search a bit
Edit: I found it... Runsfromdacops has a 4L80 in his car and DMM was going to do it. Not sure if hr continued.

I've been searching. Nothing to offer in those threads." beat the ever living **** out of it with a hammer" lol." A 4l60e wont hold up" that's just dumb. I think ill keep my info to myself. Seems those threads will give you everything you need. I did say completed swap.

My car has a 80e in it currently and it is running now with the factory pcm controlling it. We still need to go out and tune the car but it is running and moving as of now.
I think I'm the 1st to complete the the 4lxxe in a v1. I know the is one other v1 with a turbo 400 from Canada that has been running for awhile

All day long..... I know of 3 I have built running those times and have been for years. One that I built about 3 years ago ran a 6.90 in the 1/8 this past weekend. that was with a race weight of about a 3800 lbs. All these cars cut 1.40 60 foot times too.

I never intended to do the 4L80 swap, I just promised a few peeps that I would get the thing up in there when I pulled my trans. It might be fun if I have a lot of downtime and cash to burn, but with selling my house, buying another, building a new shop, and getting my daughter off to college next fall it's not looking promising.
I am really interested to see how the 4L80 works using the OE controller with a segment swap. Kinda sucks that HP Tuners can't do it but a random member on their boards can ::SMH::

i can tell you a hpt seg swap is not going to work. even the file that the tuner from thier forum sent me wont do it. but im 99% sure we got it all set up on the factory ecm.
still using hpt but not a cts-v OS

2005 Van 4.8/4L80 OS? Would you mind if I take a peek at the tune?

The tune part isn't done yet but it's a 03 4x4 1500hd (6.0/80e) truck tune file.
The down side to this is the Vin in the ecm must be a truck Vin to avoid the miss match error. So u can't take obd2 emissions Test.
Also the main relay/starter is not getting power so it must be jumped at the fuse block to start the car. This will be a easy work around but we just haven't had the time to fix it
