Default Ride improvement

I bought an 05 V with Eibach lowering springs. To say the ride is jarring is a major understatement. I am really tired of driving it. Looking for opinions on which coil-over kit gives the best ride.

Coil-overs can be hit or miss. I had H&Rs on my V and absolutely loved them. Depending on which eibachs you have they are more aggressive then any of the other brands.

you don't have many choices for coilovers.

$$$$: penske, LG motorsports

$$$: KW

$: D2, ksport

i am going to be going the KW route, myself.

The KWs can be found cheaper as they are also sold as Belltech 21060.

I just got them installed yesterday. I only lowered it about 1.25", but it rides better than the stock stuff that I took off.

D2 = 800$ + ~400$ to respring.

Kw=~1800$ (most still respring +$)

LG= ~2300$ https://ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-...torsports.html

Penske=~3800$ http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...djustable.html

i'll probably respring the KW as well. the swift springs really do make a difference.

i just have to figure out if i'm going to be doing myself a disservice slamming the KW units. this car needs to tuck tire.

Then you will be into LG $ territory.

For reference I spent $1884 to get the KW (Belltech 21060) and Swift rear springs shipped to my door.

I can't comment on if it's worth the additional money to get the LG coilover setup instead, because I've never ran them.

Good info.
Do you know what rates your springs are?

On Ebay, I offered MVPMotorsports $1700 + 19.99 shipping for the Belltech 21060 and they accepted it. (It was my first offer, you could try going lower.)
Emailed MAPerformance and they sold me a set of Swift Z60-228-160 for $165 shipped.

Mark, if you are looking for Spring rate info, you should really read this thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-...on-tuning.html

The quick answer is the I'm running the KW 574lb/in springs in the front and the Swift 896lb/in springs in the rear.

Thanks again. I think I read some of that thread earlier on the other forum. I have scanned so many different threads it becomes hard to keep track.

How would you compare the ride to stock? was installation and ride height set up difficult?

Shoot, I think my Eibachs are too soft! I guess we all have an idea of what they should ride like.

Do the KW V3s require the factory spring to be removed in the rear to lower the car?

Any pics, the set I am looking to pick up looks like the rear is true coilover and I don't see a separate spring.

Second, following OP, going to coilovers I see a lot of swift spring upgrades. Whats the purpose and what gets closest to great ride on street driving.
