Default 10.69 @ 137.89 mph. 1.71 60' Drag Radials

Got out to the local strip yesterday afternoon and made a few passes after some suspension and tire changes. Managed new personal bests with the car 60', ET and Trap speed despite less than optimal track prep (no excuses). Some guys were having a hard time hooking up, and the commentator kept referring to less than fantastic air quality. I want to say the DA was forecasted to be 2600-2700 but i'm not sure what it actually was at the time.

For those of you who know the car, you know the car.

Those who don't, the setup is as follows:

'04 V w/ LS7 and 2.9 Liter Whipple blower. Creative Steel 8.8" (3.73s) rear with DSS axles and driveshaft. New additions are the Creative Steel cradle bushings, trailing arms, and toe rods. Absolute night and day difference with wheel hop 98.673% eliminated!!! Great feeling to confidently launch this car. Can't say enough about the Creative Steel parts!!! Also bolted up a fresh set of M&H drag radials. 275/45/18.

Hopefully the HD version has uploaded by now.

Update that sig!

As a side note, I don't think most people realize what a car that traps 138 feels like on the freeway. Freight train would be an understatement.

That is awesome man!!! How much difference is the new CS parts vs just the 8.8? That thing is nasty, and as always. THANKS FOR POSTING the videos!!

Did you get your drive belt misalignment settled? sure looks that way

Haha, I sure didnt get it aligned. If you listen closely in the video you can hear the announcer saying something about "i told you he had another belt!" I had just blown one in the burnout box 10 minutes before hand. Funny thing is, my 2 fastest passes, on 2 seperate track days, have come immediately after blowing a belt and replacing it

Your platform is solid, great times man. Only thing left to do is the 5lug swap and throw on some weld rts wheels (imagine how sick that would be to roll up on weld rts wheels on a v1 lol) they make 17" wheels that can fit over our brembos.

I'm assuming your trans is built, do you happen to know if it is faceplated?

RJ, i know you're excited about the drag pack wheels...but i think it'd be a much better choice to 5 lug swap instead. do some number crunching and see where it comes up for you. although the wheels are going to be sweet, they don't leave a ton of room to expand your wheel collection given that you want/need to.

being stuck with 6 lugs is a freakin curse. maybe one day all of the V's left on the planet will be converted.

138 mph @ 4000lbs is 750rwhp with no DA correction.

What were the incrementals of the pass?
