Man, I wish XLRs would've came with LSx/T56. I'd love to pick one up used now. They're one of the few convertibles that I think looks good top up or down.

Ditto.

Blows my mind how the XLR was more expensive than the vette, but practically worse in every way. Not sure why they couldn't have had a "de-tuned" LS6 or LS2 in them instead of the junkstar.

The Ciel is probably one of the sexiest concept cars I've ever seen. If they made one like that, they'd compete with bentleys for market-share.

Have you had a chance to see them in person? I saw the Ciel a few years ago at the Chicago Auto Show and saw the ElMiraj last year. Both were very cool cars, but to me the ElMiraj had more of an elegance about it in person.

LS3's have been swapped onto the XLR'S...But u are correct why not put an LS engine in the XLR in the first place... OR..GM should have made the vette with a hardtop /vert...ragtops suck and look like **** old school IMO..except white with black top.......
ps:an 04 vette can't come close to all the options my XLR has....

My original statement was with the performance aspects of each car in mind. Braking, acceleration, handling, ect. I know there was a lot more doo-dads with the Caddy's.

But for conversation sake, what all could you get in a Caddy but not a corvette?

I know some of the Caddy's had touchscreen GPS starting in 2000, night vision cameras, and some other interesting options as well.

I agree a redesigned XLR would be nice but I think a full-size 2 convertible would be great. I'd consider that more than an XLR.
