Well I feel stupid but problem fixed. The rubber coupler connecting the cai to the tb was sucking closed. Hard plastic connector now and tune also fixed. Thanks everyone for the brainstorming.

It was great meeting you, that definitely had me stumped for awhile, thats for sure. Glad we could get it straightened out and re-tuned, cant wait to see what kind of numbers it puts down in the future.

That is just the air equalizer for the crank pressure.

Ppl here plug that all the time, personally i know its an emission thing, but i keep mine connected for it helps the idle quality...

It was sucking the actual rubber coupler (4inx10in) from the CAI to the TB shut not the hose you're referring to.

Why such a long coupler?

It may not be that long, I just put that in there to show it was the 3/8 hose he was referring to.

It was actually 8" long. The Maggie sits back on the engine so the Volant CAI doesn't reach. The piece had several wire bands around it that I guess would keep it from expanding, but obviously won't keep it from collapsing. It was thicker than most but definitely not sturdy enough. Lesson learned.

And thank you LSX power tuning! He definitely knows his stuff.

Well Lorenz with LSX Power Tuning started over from scratch on the tune so I'm not sure what all was changed but he's got it dialed in nicely.

I would have used samco's hose. Its much more resistant to collapsing and gives a nice color to the engine bay
