Default 2005 CTSV - will 09-14 hood fit?

I have a 2005 V an would like to find a used 09-14 V hood and add a poly insert live the ZR1. Will a newer V hood fit my 05 and is anyone added a Polycarbonate insert?
Thanks,
Ron

Since you are new...I will be somewhat nice...

Follow the bouncing ball:
The cars are on different platforms (Sigma 1 and Sigma 2) and they have way different dimensions...

That is like asking will a C7 hood hit on a C6...no it won't.

Can anything be made to fit, yes. But you will also need an entire front end from a second gen.

Will it look like ****, yes. The lines of the two car are completely different. I have see one First Gen with the swap, and the panel gaps were terrible. The body lines looked all sorts of jacked.

As far as the Poly-carbonate goes...nothing says awesome like showing all all that black plastic under the hood...

Even if you have something worth looking at in the engine bay, part a clear plastic window on there just screams ricers. It is a CTS-V...not a Lambo, Ferrari, R8, etc. Even that ZR1 plastic window is awful....showing off a plastic engine cover, ooo boy.

Short answer...don't do it, you will look like a complete tool.

Superchargers are best exposed with headers and cutouts. IMO.

Just go dumps no need to race someone of importance. It helps weed out the slower people.

Haha...I feel slightly honored that people who've never met me can tell when I'm in a good mood.
