Radeon (I think) made a simple adapter plate so he could bolt an LQ4 or LQ9 into a V1. One of these, while 85lbs heavier than the LS6, wouldn't be a bad "stick it in" and go motor especially if you did a cam swap in it while you had it out.

Anyone know if the V1 accessories will bolt to an LQ4 or LQ9? I know you'd have to swap the LS6 intake onto it but wouldn't the rest of the sensors plug up and play nice in this application?

I'm DDing an LS6 with 210k on it...holding my breath that mine doesn't go boom....

if you were kinda broke and didn't have time to build, how hard would it be to make this work other than making a couple of motor mount plates and swapping manifolds?

I started a thread over in GenIII external on this if anyone is interested in easy and cheap engine options.

I found a set of stock V1 motor mount brackets and as soon as I can come up with a 4 bolt LS iron block, I'll go about making some adapters if anyone wants in on it.

I posted a response in the other thread that was a bit lengthy of a brain dump. But check these out. The plates might work for a gen3 iron block. You obviously wouldn't use the transmission crossmember in their kit, but the motor mount plates might be a winner, not sure.

Make sure you check out the instruction link on the page it has some good pics, you'll see why these might work.

Not sure if the angle would be right, but it might give you an idea how to make your own too.

Nice find..thanks for the link. I'm thinking something more like this....

Those wouldn't be hard to build.
