Nice win. I could see how stock for stock this could be a drivers race. The best published time I've seen on CTS-V was 13.1 @ 109. I have seen some publications showing 5.0 running 12.8-13.0 trapping at 111. On paper the 5.0 should've started creeping up, but I guess it really goes down to the driver and how he keeps the momentum going when he shifts. Your tune and shifting must've been the edge in this match.

Yep my chi was on point thag night on both races, and gramps wasn't taking no **** from him. For 3 weeks he claimed the V wasn't worth his gas, POSI wouldn't wven look me in the eye afterwards lol I texted him and said " so I guess I'm still not worth your gas?, good thing I didn't bring the lightning cause you're not worth firing it up" been 3 days and no reply lol

It's funny that the most out-spoken trash talkers are usually the ones that get their feelings hurt the most when they lose. You blew his ego and pride, so give him some time to recover.

lol funny thing is, he even talks smack to the modded 5.0's and other modded LS cars lol
he had a focus ST and thought he could take my 11.90's lightning from a dig i damm near wet myself from laughing so hard.
he already has mods waiting to go on, i guesss its time for me to get headers and a fast intake and a cai

Yeah nobody gave LJ a snowballs chance in hell to beat him.. Even the LS guys *eh hem*. Gramps won that night, fair and square; and for all intensive purposes, I knew it was going to be a drivers race.. If gramps got his shifts down (Inwhich he did) he stood a chance. After the race concluded, the excuse patrol showed up and he tried to exonerate himself by claiming he 'missed 4th' (how you miss 4th is beyond me) and Lj was like well, I didn't miss 4th.. But the bottom line is this: Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda.. But didn't.
And that's all she wrote.

Very entertaining 130 post. Thanks op. Glad you won. Iv never owned a 5.0 for obvious reasons but have driven one with few bolt ons supposed tune and suspension. I was NOT impressed. Actually drove the car yo se if I could convince myself to get one. As you can tell from me being here, looking for a 06 or 07 V
