Honestly, I'd take a run at this one....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cadillac-CTS-V-Sedan-4-Door-2004-cadillac-cts-v-supercharged-forged-402-/231487777651?forcerrptr=true&hash=item35e5bf2b73&item=231487777651&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
If I didn't have to drive mine everyday, I'd be all over this. Parts alone are well over 20K and we won't even talk about the labor. Wonder who owns this.

If a man had access to 12k cash, you could probably get a car loan for 15k, buy the car for no more than 27k total, sell the one you have for 15k and walk away with a freaking badass V if he'd sell it for that. People with money do strange things (theres a Merc in the garage), he may just want to dump it...never know.

The airfilter is where the left TS used to be. You can see it in one of the pics....thats why I can't own it, I have to drive in the rain.

Wonder if it has turn signals?

The only think I don't like about the build on the car... Harland sharp rockers

If you're going to do a build like that, why not go with a gnarly set of crower* shaft mount rollers? Sheesh

Edit: Lol phone autocorrect

What would you use and what would it cost to swap?

Phone auto correct... I'd use Crower shaft mount rockers. You do need to machine the heads for them, and they alone cost like $1200 before the machining. But hell he's got $25k in parts on that thing. Might as well go top shelf with the things that matter. I wouldn't want to break a cheaper rocker like a harland sharp. I know many people are fine using them. And they are good for an NA stockish build. But that drivetrain is meant to be abused like a $2 crack *****. And the rockers aren't. Just saying.

That will be close to $12k right there and will yield 460-480whp and will give you an awesome drivetrain and suspension to match all those new horsepowers.
460-480 WHP? Are you sure? I feel like this is wrong, maybe at the motor?

It'd get you close. Depends on the heads and cam. I believe he is going trick flows and a custom cam. A good combo with a 102 intake, that'd get you real close.

Maybe he means no property taxes on vehicles? PA is like that. Just an annual registration fee.

Is the vehicle property tax a common thing? PA doesn't do it but WV does. I always thought they were the weird ones.

That sucks. I think PA annual registration is $19 for motorcycles and $38 for cars. And that's just for ones that drive. Parked on blocks in the yard is free.

VA has the personal property taxes as well, sucks! I think I drop around 350/year just for the V.

I can see where they look like optimistic numbers but those are realistic results with a well planned HCI, headers, and a good tune that will have daily driving street manners.

I know the rules...pics or it didn't happen, so I'll post a dyno sheet when I wrap it all up next month and there won't be any speculation - before HCI and after HCI on same dyno, same tuner, same car etc.

Cheers!

Precisely. If you make more then that's great but he/c/I is a mid to high 400.

Buttt dyno matters too, but what is the car used for...does it need more power? I'm at a crossroads and have gobs more power ready to go but wonder when.does it become too much and not fun on the street

It will ALWAYS be fun on the street. You'll just need to use the skinny pedal a bit more judiciously.

V1's are badass (my friend on here had a nice 04) but i would never dump 12k into one op. Sell it and get something more badass (V2). Just my .02
