You know he hit hard when that type of damage is done to the concrete wall at the track.

Saw this a couple of weeks ago. Not sure why it suddenly veered right like that.

That was posted on some forums about 1-2 months back, stayed posted for about a day, then disappeared. Driver & car had previously run a personal best of mid or low 10 something & was trying to better his record.

I think it is terrible driving. The car kicked a little sideways you pedal it, not steer it. And you dang sure don't hit the brakes once it's sideways. Some like to think this happens too fast....but many control it in time. Only other excuse would be something broke in the car causing it to veer like that. Oh, and track conditions! They can def do that to a driver.

If he was in the 10's was there a cage?

Man the more I look at it it looks like he almost wanted to do that. I don't want to bash his skills, but it looks exactly like what happens when a kid takes dads car sideways and panics.

Edit: if we only had the footage off his go pro mounted on top. That would give a great view of it.

I watched it again and couldn't tell. Didn't appear to blow anyway.

His tire didn't blow out, he hit a moisture patch. He made a post on the facebook group explaining everything. Car was totaled, of course, but he already has a new V to swap everything to.

Sucks. Seen it happen several times before at various tracks. Only a few times was it a chitty driver. Typical track prep or as stated moisture patch.
