Yah, those are the ones I saw on the FB page, I think. Unfortunately things get buried pretty deep pretty quickly on there and I wasn't really motivated to spend the time finding them for the individual that requested them (for obvious reasons). Thanks for digging 'em up though. Some other folks might find them helpful too.

I saw the first report of a mistake made by one of these shops yesterday...over on caddy forums. I didn't read the details, but something to the effect of the jack support(s) slipping when they were buttoning the cradle back up. I guess it crushed his rockers and maybe some other stuff. Oooops! But I think that's the only negative anecdote I've come across regarding this recall work up to this point. Seems safe enough to have done, so far. I'm just going to have good notes on everything before the car goes in, and if anything changes after the work I'll be on 'em like a fly on ****.

Good info in here. I'm a little less nervous about bringing mine in. But ill probably wait a bit, i dont want my V being the first at the dealer to have the recall done. Id rather the techs learn on someone else's car haha

My appointment is for April 14, I'm gonna install a new fuel filter too. I'm not sure how many other V's they have done. My tune date is April 15th so hopefully everything goes well.

Dang, apparently my subscription to this page was a bit of a mess because I haven't gotten a notification since I made my last post and thought it was dead.
Looks like bymlez was able to locate my FB post but I went ahead and uploaded the pics to imgur.com to share with yall in a slightly larger size.
As you could probably see from the previous post it was simple process of pulling two cradle bolts and wiggling the tank out.
A little more difficult to see in this picture is that the entire fuel module(fuel pump and associated parts) is new along with the harness. I was surprised at just how much was new on the tank which is why I took the picture.

This recall might JUST be a life saver for me as my V died while driving ON MY WAY TO SELL IT. Crazy that it had to happen right then.
I'm concerned though about what the dealer might say about the vehicle because of the wreck damage.

I had my car towed from the mechanic to a GM dealer this morning thinking it'd be a fuel pump recall to get me back on the road & well, ok, it wasn't the fuel pump, apparently the fuse tap for the amplifier was shorting out & cause it to die. It's running now by removing the fuse tap! They did not replace the fuel pump, & saying the fuel pump recall is not available yet for my 06 (which matches the TSB saying May 18th).
They did do the ignition recall though . . .
$325 out the door to figure out the electric problem though. :\

Me, heck no. I took it over to the dealership that has been taking care of it for warranty stuff off and on and the service advisor that I usually use proceeded to scare a brown stripe in me when I dropped it off. I told him I was nervous about the procedure when I went back to grab a loaner car and he asked me if I wanted to come back to the shop and take a look at my car so I could see what they were doing and ease my fears. Dam. Nice guy and a hell of an offer to a nutty 1st gen V owner such as myself.

i just got mine back. it was completed in a day and i was given a '15 CTS4 2.0T as a loaner. this was crest cadillac outside of milwaukee, wisconsin. overall good experience.
no i'll effects to describe yet, but i'll have the car up on a lift in the next week or two for 5 lug swappage anyway so i'll take a peek at what's been done then.

Mine was pretty bad (pics below). I'm doing a DW300, I was unlucky enough to start my stroker built a few weeks before the recall went out. I'm going to rewire the bucket completely. But I'm just wondering what, if anything, they changed? Anyone on here have close ups of the new one?

Looks like they would have to change the bucket itself really. Mine seemed to burn into the plastic, didn't see where it would arc and burn in like that. It looked to be more or less internal to the bulkhead. I wonder if they have changed it. Just seems odd that it was only on the CTS-V models... Or was it GM wide those years?
