Default 04 cts v t56 leak

I recently had my transmission rebuilt with a stage 2 kit I install the transmission in the car and after about a week I started leaking fluid. Its leaking from the yoke so I looked for a seal aftermarket and decided to go back with the stock one from GM. Its still leaks. Now I did put a full 4 cts in the transmission and per the manual its 117 oz. When I replaced it with the GM seal I filled it till it came running out the whole steady with a suction/fill gun.

Anyone have a clue what could be wrong.

Is it leaking just sitting there, or when it is spinning? An overfill will cause it to leak from the vent. I don't think you are supposed to put more than 4 quarts in. Is it fastened securely where the shifter mechanism bolts to the toll on the transmission?

I spent a good while looking for a replacement seal for my transmission when it was leaking. As far as I know, no one makes an aftermarket seal. Had to order gm. I'm not trying to insult you, maybe the inner spring on the seal fell off when you installed it? Could it be it is leaking through the splines and bolt?

It is leaking while spinning the dripping while setting. Fluid has been slinging under the car everywhere.

The inner spring was still on the seal when I removed the first one that was leaking. Spline is something I haven't thought of. I am trying to get my hands on a GM manual for the trans, I have a tremec t56 manual but as we know the back half is different on our pigs

Its definitely leaking from the rear seal. Does anyone know if someone makes a booted trans seal?

Have you checked to see that your vent is not plugged or pinched ? A vent not venting would cause pressure in the transmission and making your rear seal the only vent. Pushing fluid out. Usually the extended portions on output shaft seals are for slip yoke style and serve as a dust " seal ".

I might have the same issue. Just wondering how you determined that it was the vent line?

Also, is the vent accessible without lowering the transmission?

Thanks for any info.
