they're totally uselessly bright and blinding so they'll be reserved for use as a high beam substitute out in the boonies. at least in that fashion they're way more useful than the stock lights that don't do a damn thing.

Your bottom grill is in upside down. I know because I've done it myself, twice. The part numbers stamped on the back are what throw me off, they need to be upside down, and I subconsciously want them upright when reinstalling.

You're on the right track, the factory fogs are useless.

I'm not very light savvy so help me out here....I'm guessing these are LEDs and they don't draw enough current to require updating the harness? Is the factory harness large enough to handle more than 4 of these?

it's a single LED pod, but correct. i didn't update any of the wiring. i'm not entirely sure of the load comparison between these and the incandescent bulbs, but thus far they're working just fine. the wiring in the harness looks about 16ga which is good for about 10A. these definitely don't pull that. the fuse for the fog lamps is also rated at 15A and it's not blown.

so to answer your question you'd have to find the specifics on the actual pods you were wanting to use and add it all up. i think somewhere down the line i may end up putting another light bar in the lower grill as an additional light for the countryside.

As far as I can tell, this is the best attempt yet at actually making those lamps do anything more than just look cool. Looks like you did a good job installing them but the 4 light pod looks a little lonely in there. Anyway to black them out without loosing a ton of light? Did you use the factory housing/lenses and how big a bitch was it to install these?

Thanks!

i actually didn't make up the fog lights. another guy did all the work and i just installed them in my car. here's a couple of the "in process" photos he sent me. there's actually a little bracket that's doing most of the work holding the pod where it is now.

there's actually a guy in texas that's been doing a projector retrofit in the fog light position via a similar method, but i didn't want to go with anything that a bunch of others already have so i thought of using an LED pod and went for it.

Sorry, but I have to agree that they don't look very "clean", I think it's the fact it's a small pod of 4 square LED's that don't really go with anything else on the car. I think if they were round or were just generally more aesthetically appealing I'd dig it more, but they look like a complete afterthought. Those modules just kill the entire thing for me.

EDIT: This is along the lines of what I think would look like a cleaner, more thought out conversion...

More info/pictures?

I think yours would work with a diffused lense like stock.

No clue, I just searched Google images for LED projector fog lights and that was one of the images.
