You will most likely eventually get a CEL for catalyst efficiency below threshold, but drivability should not be affected. I drove my Camaro on longtubes with HFCs and no tune for a good while. I would just clear the light every so often when I got tired of looking at it.

Yeah that. Except the "******" part.

Corsa sounds amazing with long tubes and a cam , just pure evil.
i have zero drone with my set up
I do have the cam but it is a blower cam so the overlap isn't nearly what most NA cams have. Mine will lope if I bring the idle speed down a bit (700 rpms or so) but I always wondered if the rough idle would put additional stress on the blower. Once I get the suspension repairs done I guess I will try it out.

I read somewhere that cam lope will indeed beat on the blower shaft isolater and you can definitely watch it work on the belt tensioner.

Thanks! I suspected as much.

So I just installed some pacesetter longtubes and no cats. It's so loud up top. Went from a 2 to like a 12

Haha, nice. The converters or lack of make all the difference in volume.

I just got an 04 CTS-V that supposedly had headwork and a cam. I just had stainless steel 1 7/8" long tube headers, fake cat blisters. So far NO CEL. I still haven't gotten car tuned yet either! I will get borla pro xs 2.5" dual in/out to replace stock "x pipe" and out to 4.5" tips no mufflers. Also voliant CAI, new iridium plugs, fresh Mobil 1 full synthetic with creative steel engine mounts, newer trans. mount, rear diff. Block and bushing. Have all metal/brass shifter bushings never used because my shifter isn't stock and they won't work. I was shocked the old engine mounts WEREN'T trashed!
