Default starter replacement

Quality-Built 6492SN

is the the right starter to replace the factory and go with a ring terminal on the signal wire? i have replaced a bunch of relays and fuses and the cars still intermittently starts. i have bypassed relays and get different clicks and engagements depending on how the car feels. i go a weekend with no issues then it doesn't want to start when i am leaving the grocery store. i just want my car back to reliable so i guess this is the next step. open to suggestions from anyone, i have tried a lot of what has been posted in this forum.

Make sure you get the one with two long bolts and not one long and one short.

go for the ring type for the signal, its much better than the plastic plug which drifts out...

Yes. The older style that has one short bolt has cracked some blocks in the past

Have you got a link or any more information. Is it because they torque the short bolt too much trying to get enough thread to bite? I have one with the short bolt as well and haven't had any issues (doesn't mean I won't). Just trying to get more info on this...
