Default Cutouts on a V

I saw a two into one cutout exhaust on a v in the cad faq forum and this setup seems like the cat's ***. Hypothetically it seems as it would perform as good as a performance system and only bark on demand (stealth = good in my book). If I am missing a detail or two please chime in.

Cutouts tend to leak and with the CTS-V climate control system I think all of those exhaust gases would be sucked right into the cabin. On paper, cutouts seem like the best thing ever, but in reality they are never as efficient as you'd like them to be.

I've never had a problem with a leaking cutout on my f-body. I'm thinking about putting them on my V. Can you post the link to the pics, I'm looking for ideas on mine now.

http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answers/ex-cutout.html Ramair- I mean after the cats. Thank you for the input. This link shows a pretty clean install of a not cheap, "supposedly efficient" cutout.

That's pretty neat.

IF I do it, I am going to look at doing two separate cutouts...and manual, not electric. They're a pain in the azz, but unless you lose the wing nuts, gasket or cover, it's not likely to fail.

The manual cutouts are a no brainer if you're a strictly racetrack setup. Will you put yours before the cats? Will this mess with the computer? I am not too literate with comp controlled cars yet.
