Unhappy KOOKS or B&B Headers

Anyone has a config of B&B exhaust with Kooks L/T or B&B L/T Headers. Which ones are better?

I called KOOKS and they had some reservations, because they don't have a good fitting for B&B exhaust. I would need to modify it to fit. But B&B folks were stating theirs will fit perfectly and theirs is bolt on.

Little confusing>

I have Kooks + Corsa.

No fab solutions:
  • Kooks + corsa + kooks corsa lead pipes
  • B&B Headers + B&B exhaust

Pretty much everything else is going to require a bit of fab work, but not much. A couple hundred bucks at the muffler shop.

If you already have a B&B 3" system, then it's almost a no brainer to get the B&B headers (the newer long tube ones), as they won't throttle down to a 2.5" opening like most (?all?) the other headers.

I have had TPIS headers for over 50K miles with no worries. TPIS uses a coating similar in performance to JetHot. This coating has not chipped at all.

OK - Final decision help needed? No B&B headers (that is decided)
Looking to do Kooks 1 3/4 with the existing B&B exhaust system. Hoping that the dealer can connect them correctly or else I would have to buy Corsa exhaust :-(

One more question. Looking to powder coat the following Factory wheels, Calipers and Grill. Any concerns there??

feedback appreciated.

why the re-route on the b and f lines, did you have problems? I was under the car the other day and it looked like it would still have some decent clearance, and im sure the cat being next to it is worse than the headers.

You can powdercoat the wire mesh grills, both upper and lower.
You have to paint the grill frames, as they are plastic-and extremely crappy for a $50K car. Over time the grill frames will chip, so be prepared for that. Chef, the soon to be famous (or was that broke) V racer had powdercoated stock wheels and never mentioned any issues. Anything you do to the stock wheels is fine, be it chrome or powdercoat-they look good always.
Not sure who your dealer is, I presume a Caddy one, and if so, doubt they have a tech that can fab your headers onto exhaust-go to a custom exhaust shop.

Onebadcad will probably disagree (), but that Corsa will get mighty loud when you go WOT at anything over 4k RPM (I stood behind my car when I had it dyno'd last summer and WOW!), and it's very civil at 70 MPH cruise.

Randy, all is good, disagreement leads to challenges and one-ups, so I am always open-minded---but of course the B&B is the loudest.
I get my C6 dynoed on Saturday morning at 9:00 A.M., so if you are in South Florida cover your ears---hoping for at least 580RWHP.
