It's not that complicated. You will have 22lb injectors, later years got 24lb. You have a pump in the fuel tank you can check with a fuel psi gauge a the Schrader valve on the driver's side of the manifold. What's going on with your car? Are you sure it's and injector problem? They rarely fail.

I might be one of those. But the more you work on them the more you realize that what goes wrong with them is usually the result of bad repairs and poor aftermarket parts rather than design.

--2 bolt main sucks too, but not exactly weak, and it can be machined to be stronger. The GM bolts on them suck, change to ARP.
Think about what's good. The intake is good, the heads are good, the computer is good, the drivetrain setup is good. Toss a good cam in these things and they are fast and they sound great.

I got a '97 from a buddy of mine a few years back that had ~145k on it, all original, had been driven year-round (even in snow for at least a winter or two!) and proceeded to pull that motor and put it into my "race car" at the time (a gutted/caged car setup for the road courses) and the motor continued to work flawlessly for me 'til I sold the car! (.........and on the track, I'm HOLDING high RPM's and just plain driving the CRAP out of the car, so I think that's a testament to the durability of the trusty old LT1 ).
That being said, I'm a die-hard LSx fanatic at this point, and having had a taste of C6/Z06 for a couple seasons, my LS1 is seeming a little less-than-awesome these days, let alone the further (stock-for-stock) power gap between the LS1 and LT1 ........ the LT1 just doesn't have the LEGS of an LSx motor ..... I love how the LSx powerband just seems to take off exponentially beyond ~3500 RPM!!!
..............I digress ..........
The fact remains, the LT1 was/is still a strong performing engine, esp. compared to what it was replacing at the time. The LT1 might as well have been called an LS1, the way it could rev beyond ~4000 RPM, unlike the TPI (...sure, torquey, but the excitement was over after ~4 seconds). ............alas, I digress again!!!!
abrracing, hope you got your engine's issue(s) taken care of???

LT1 Engine
In the hands of the right mechanic you can tune the LT1 with some small add ons like tune , thermosat, MAF sensors, exhaust and headers. I have had 3 Ls1 cars in 2 Firehawks auto and sixspeed and WS6 speed. I was able to run out of pwer in the rpm power range and though is this all, maybe a tune would have got more. Now I am in a Lt1 6 speed with some tunes to it and wind it up to no more than 5000 rpm and got good power and torque over the whole rpm range. Sounds nice and torque is right at 2500 rpm.
John Linginfelter was able to get the LT1 to be the quickest car in 1996 taking out modifiied Vipers , and Vettes. and you can still get that set up today from them.
However with a low km LT1 it is a engine to watch for early pump leaks to avoid a Opti spark disaster. This engine is prone to leaks and I got it now it is dry under the car.
Not sure I want to run the car in a rain storm so there is apprehensions on the location of the distributor. Typical GM to produce something to hit the market and then not think it all the way through.
LS1s were a concern for piston slap and leaks. Guess got to have it like Flame who has the 97 Look with an LS1

Congrats. Best year IMO. I keep my 93 as a hobby and a challenge, plus they sound soo good with a cam and a 3000 stall. And T-tops, there's nothing like them.
