Can't wait to get a good rear and some slicks on this thing so I can actually launch it!

Sweet video man, your car moves! What tires are you using right now? And are you on a 3.90 10 bolt right now?

Thanks man, I love how it runs! Can't wait to see what it does with a good 60'

Rear tires are 275/40/17 TOYO TQ PROXES drag radials
Yes stock 10-bolt with 3.90 gear

You have enough MPH to get that thing in the 10's with a decent 60ft.

Find yourself a 9" and then you can let her rip.

Manzo, I was at the track that night and watched your runs. Sucks the time clocks were turned off/not working and they werent really announcing times most of the night over the PA either.

I loved your car and you definitely no how to bang a gear. Me and my buddy both noticed how soft you launched it especially when you nailed it at the 60' mark and the car spun and took off like a laser beam haha..i told my friend you probably still had a 10 bolt

Thanks! Yea the car is definitely held back by that 10-bolt and Toyo DRs...I'm sure a better driver could ride that clutch just enough to get that 60' down a tad and break into 11's, but I'm still happy with the mph it runs...I know she's capable of lower 11's with a good launch, so I'll get a 9" with 4.11's in there and a good tire setup, and head back to smash 11's

Also need to open up exhaust a little more...trying to move all that air through a single 3" just seems to be a choking point now...gonna go with a 4" Y-merge into a 4" cutout hopefully for about 10 more ponies at the wheels....might go for 1-7/8" headers as well...never ends $$$$

Got my new Mickey T Drag Radials today so I will be out Friday night.

I discovered my old ones were through the steel belt and into the cord.

I still made one lame 12.8 at 108 pass with no burn out on Monday and still got a 1.93 60ftwalking her out easy

They say this new generation Street SS with R2 compound is better with little or no burn out.

Nice! Yea I'll most likely go with a pair of those MT S/S to replace the Toyo TQs when they're due
Let me know how they do

Yes I will post up.

I am very curious myself as they have their new R2 compound rubber..

They say little to no burnout required so I will air them to 25psi and go to the line.

They(MT) also say 17psi minimum and that you should try to run as much air pressure as you can.

I will adjust by 1psi until I get my best 60ft,if I pull off a 1.65 or better on the first pass my adjustments might be minimal.

No burnout and 25 psi got me a 1.90 60 ft.

A light burnout and 25 psi got me a 1.83 to 1.86

A heavier burnout and 21 psi got me a 1.80 then a 1.77 60ft.

So if your willing to settle for a shitty 60ft no burnout is fine.

I still want to try 17 or 18 psi.

The DA sucked it started at 2350 ft at 7pm when I made my first pass and improved to 1725 at 10pm when I made my last pass.

Ran a best of 12.692 at 107.61 with a 1.777 60ft

Worst pass was a 12.827 at 107.67 on a 1.899 60ft that was my first pass right off the street.

A whole bunch of 12.7X's in between.

Corrected to sea level would be 12.3 to 12.4 at 110mph

I need 40hp or a 400lb weight reduction if I am ever going to run an 11 as a bolt on car.

Maybe Arun can tune you some extra ponies? 1.7s are a solid base line, you'll beat that 60 next week. It's interesting to see your comparisons, keep them coming.

I've got a pair of the 275/40/17 ET street SS.

Managed a 1.5 60' on 18.5psi in them. Leaving on no boost. They actually hold pretty good. I had luck with a very small burnout (see vid).

This was a few weeks ago in indy. That track was prepped nice....TMP never seems to be prepped well.

Nice runs! Sounds like they do alright

My Toyo's are gettin down there, so they'll be swapped for those MT soon...
Just in the process of ordering a MWC 9", the day after I get a quote, #7 cyl breaks a rocker arm yella terra ultralite, apparently a common issue??? happened at 1500-2000rpm cruising

Hopefully just swap in a new arm and good to go, don't wanna have to dig down to the lifter...but now I'm worried the rest will fail sooner or later...chattin with Tony Mamo to see what to do from here.
