How is the fluid? are you running Dex 6 synthetic?

Have you pulled the pan?

If you pull the pan and there is no black clutch material in there you should be ok.

Mine had 133,000 miles on it with 15,000 miles with a FTI 3600 triple disc.

Its all in the tune with these trannies you need to massage tq mgmt not remove it.

Just keep the transmission temps nice and cool.
Add a shift kit, boost valve, 2-3 shift valve.
The 2-3 shift valve will keep the overrun clutches applied when your selector is in D3 threw all gears as opposed to just applying during the 2-3 shift when fluid is critical to the 3-4 clutch pack.
Also keep your tranny fluid overfilled about half a quart to full quart above the full line to prevent 3-4 clutch fluid starvation at wot during the 2-3 shift.

If your tranny does go out your converter won't be junk. You will just have to send it in to get a cut and clean for about $200

I have just a little torque management in my 1-2 shift and none on my 2-3

Trans can never go over 180. Leave all the TM in it.
Stock is eventually gonna start slipping.

I ran 8's on mine but it was an RPM.

There the only ones that can build it right. If you ever need one i'm an RPM dealer.
