Default gmpp carb intake

I'm looking for a little help, I just purchased a gm carb intake off a ls2 crate motor (gmpp 88958675) but it did not come with and bolts or gaskets. I ran down to the local gm dealer and hard the parts person lookup the bolts and gaskets. Even had the intake with me. Long story short they sold me the bolts and gaskets for a stock efi ls1. Does anyone know the gm parts numbers of the bolts and gaskets. Or am I ahead to order these from some place else and a after market brand.

Thanks, Bobby

Sit the intake on the engine and take a small phillips head screwdriver insert in in the manifold bolt hole until it bottoms out, scribe a mark. Then measure the depth from the scribed mark on the screwdriver to the bottom. Take the bolts you have with you to lowes and match the bolts size and thread to a nut. Then just find the right length and thread bolts, grab some properly sized lock washers, flat washers and your ready to bolt your intake on.

I did think about that and will most likely go in that direction, as for the intake gaskets the gm part numbers I find on the web the parts person says are not available. Do I just need to order a current LS2 intake gasket. I do know the stock Ls1 gaskets will not work as they are oring type.

I did the screwdriver trick and found that there is no bottom in the tapped hole in the head, I found bolts at the hardware store that work. However there is alot of play around the bolt as it goes through the intake. I'm thinking it might be better to go with a set of aftermarket bolt has anyone get a part number.

Line the intake gasket up on each head for best fit. Just put a small dab of solicone on the bottom of the gasket in one spot on each end to hold it in place. Then line the intake up using a flashlight looking through the carb hole line the intake ports up for the best fit (you will also be able to spot any gasket slip) and tighten the bolts down clockwise from the center out. Once you tighten it down its not moving anywhere just be sure and use the small flat washer and lock washer like I recommended.

Bump this to the top because I searched like crazy and only found this. I also need bolts for my GMPP intake and found I need M6x50mm bolts but need to know the thread pitch to order them from ARP. Anyone know the thread pitch or a part number they used. Would like to match these with my other 12 pt. ARP bolts. Anyone know?

Keep in mind these bolts are metric. M6x1.00x50mm At least that's what it is for an Edelbrock carbed intake. If you just want plain bolts, most hardware stores should carry them. Fastenal definitely has them. If you want ARP, though, you can get them in 5-packs.

ARP part #
-660-1007 black hex head
-670-1007 black 12-point
-760-1007 stainless hex head
-770-1007 stainless 12-point
