How would this Cam Perform..

GM Performance Parts 88958733 LS Hot Cam

I have a stock LS1 with 853 heads. Will be running a GM performance Intake with Holley 750 Carb. Any pointers would help. I have the cam, but not the Valve springs yet. Will the stock ones be too soft?

Id say stock spings are fine, but it wouldnt hurt to upgrade. I would look into a set of yellow gm springs.

The dyno tests I have seen show that the stock springs are not even good enough for the stock cam. Most guys like the PAC performance springs. The 1218s should be nice for you.
