I was reading on another post about having to swap wires around on cam sensor plug just wandering why and if this was something I needed to do on mine.

Only if it was accidentially wired wrong from the factory. Most guys just plug them in and they work fine right out of the box.

The 6012 for the 06 up engines has to have the two outside wires for the cam sensor swapped if the stock GM extension harness is not used.
