attempting to get 400rwhp out of a 5.3 in my '95 z28 without breaking the bank Any selection choices on what I should do? as in choice of heads/cam that are decently priced. Ive already got a set of pacesetter longtubes and Holley 750

LS motors respond well to aftermarket cams - with what you already have plus some valve springs and a cam (and enough rpms) you might get to 400 at the crank.

For one I hope you have a L33 5.3, they are the all aluminum 5.3 with 335 hp. Come in 04-06 silverado Z71 or the one in the SSR before they went to the 6.0
