Lol never noticed that was just test fitting I didn't have the proper lugs at the time. Well everybody has there preferred combo. I have a local buddy helping me out with most of it now. Just curious what some guys can suggest, in out of my element when it comes to picking parts for a combo. Goals? Hmmmm I have nitrous kits trickflow 235 heads and just don't wanna be the slowest guy on Friday nights. It won't see highway driving just beat on in the city. And I apologize for the lack of pics but working 6days a week 1200kms from home has slowed my wrenching time. Should see my house in march I'm hoping.

i'm building a similar combo. s10 - LS2 short block with decked TFS225 heads. i went with a 236/242 110+4 cam and had to flycut the pistons. all depends on how much money you want to spend!

So I had a few weeks to play on the garage during break up. Went to install my mini spool and had the wrong splines, so that got welded. Found out gears were 3.41 in it. My only problem is it has a horrible stutter between 2-3700. I had a 770 street avenger on it but it had vaccine secondary's and with the cam I thought was the issue. I now have a qft 750 mech sec. But I'm still getting a horrible stutter below 3k, and it's running rich. The qft came with 72 primary jets and 84 in the back. I had a buddy come over and my timing with map was out to lunch so he brought it back which helped abit. I've put 68 in the mains and moved the 72 to the rear and it still sputters below 3 and runs pig rich still. Power valve is a 6.5. The stall is a jegs 3600 8" I believe and I can't get it to flash over 1800. Really frustrating. But after 3000rpm it's fun as hell gets a little squirmy in second at times but the bottem end is pissing me off

That's how she gets rocked till I get the bugs worked out.

Floats set right? Start at the start I say. Starting with the motor (so I don't have to search forever) what's your setup?

Ok it's a 5.3 out of a 04 Tahoe with .560 cam.(ill have to dig up the full specs) it was suppose to be more nitrous friendly. Did Pushrods and springs. Brp 1 5/8 mid length headers. Aero motive 11213 pump and 13301 regulator. 3/8 pressure line and 6ft of 3/8 then -8 on return. Pressure sits around 6.5-7psi at idle. I'm running a Vic jr intake and mad 6010 with Ngk tr5 plugs. And then the qft carb. Which out of the box made my eyes water instantly after I put it on.

+1

Sounds like you need to tweak your IFR and idle air bleeds, but you need to know which way to go first.
