I think the Quick Fuels are probably the smartest buy on the market for a racing Holley.

That's a great price. If in good condition I would snap it up.

I have a quick fuel base plate on my Holley DP. very well made stuff.

I found a used QF carb for my LS project and it has been great. I know used stuff varies, but I am loving mine.

I got pro systems due to their customer service, just takes some time to get all the tuning correct but most are the same out of the box.

I spent the bucks and bought a new 850 QF and had a bunch of trouble, ran really fat . Changed jets, made all kind of adjustments just couldn't get it right. But have talked to others who have had great luck with a QF carb. I went with Pro Systems, is working great.

I bought a custom built Pro Systems Carb. It runs just as good at the track as my home built Carb, but it would never idle lean enough. It was always black plugs, black exhaust and watery eyes. I sent it back 3 times ad no solution. Now it sits in a box on my shelf. My home built unit with Holley HP upgrade kit has won the job. Runs hard, idles clean and cruises at 14:1.

I think Pro Systems builds a fast race Carb for sure, but I got the impression they are not into tuning for the street.

All we use is Quick Fuel. Holleys quality went down hill and Quickfuel stepped up for us. I rarely see a defect/bad carb, most tuning problems are due to people who dont know how to tune a carb. The overall finish is better and the base models will have the see thru float bowls.
I personally run a Pro Systems on my Chevelle and it made about 25HP over the 850CFM Holley we had on it, Patrick did my setup spot on.
