I haven't saw many of them get below 2700 on the street. The frame weighs a lot, add heavy leaf springs, traction devices, Heavy cab and doors.

Theres a lot of MYTH in the S10's being light.

Just going off some research from a s10 forum. I figured stripped with fiberglass hood and what not, 25-2600 may be possible, but 2400, idk if I have seen that in person.

mine is a 1989 gmc s15. mine weighed 2720 without me in it but full of gas and fluids. iron block lq9, th400, factory rear end, factory 14" steel wheels, factory suspension, completely gutted interior, no heating system, with a factory bench seat, rci 22 gallon fuel cell. i could see 2600 with a racing seat and lighter wheels but a stronger rear end and cage will add some. i want to use mine as a pickup still so im not lookin for a non usable box or also doing lexan windows... id say 2400 could be done with a fiberglass bed or it cut appart so its just the rails basically, fiberglass fenders, hood, and bumpers, and a single aluminum seat. even lower with a tube frame tho haha

^ THIS... people who mess around with these trucks and actually weigh them know they are no lightweights. Read the list on what was pulled just to get to 2720... Add the rollcage and the stronger rear your back up to 2900-3000 lbs.
