Default 1952 Dodge Truck Street/Rat Rod Build

Started this build on January 1st. Hope to be driving it in less than a month. Optimistic? Probably. The plan is a LQ4, 750 Holley DP with a Tremec TKO600 tranny. This is my first attempt of a build this in depth. Ill post pics of the motor and transmission installed this weekend. Ive had tons of compliments and tons of criticism. To each his own.
First Day

Probably knocked out 100 rivets to gt it to this point, plus I boxed the front for the Mustang II front suspension.

Boxed the rear of the frame to get it ready for C notch.

Rolled rearend under to check mock up. Its a 1964 Chevelle SS rearend that I already had. Went through it with new stuff.

Default Heres the good part

This is probably the nastiest motor I had ever run up on. I bet I got 5 hours in cleaning with a scraper and pressure washer.

I can relate to that. The 5.3 i bought recently was a mudball. Killer work by the way

The 5.3 from my 03 trailblazer was my cleanest salvage engine.

That there is allot of hard work. Looks like it will pay of as a nice project.

It was so bad that I thought it had been through a flood and set in mud for a while. Yeah it has definatley been some hard work. I didnt think it would be this time consuming but there is no telling how many hours I have in this thing since January. Ive only worked on it some nights after work and practically every minute on the weekends seems like. Im starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel but now I need to decide if im gonna chop the top or not.

Went to put my Victor Jr. on tonight and had 4 bolts and 5 washers missing out of the package. That sucks. I live in a geographical oddity, 2 weeks for anything. Seems like anyway. To the parts store again.

It gets rough working at night after work. My schedule is the pretty much the same. Talk about burning the midnight oil, lol.

I am usually in no mood to work on my car a few hours after getting up before working. Working nights is probably the main factor.

Hey ZONES. I read in a thread a while back that you use the 1992 to 94 truck alterantors for all your builds. Im pretty sure this alternator is off a 1994 full size truck. Im wondering what I do with the wire im holding. Does it just go to the gauge or does it have to be a 12 volt switch wire.
