Is there a performance difference? They both appear to be dual plane.

A car mag did a build with one of those and posted it on line. That thing made more torque and power everywhere. I can't remember what cam they ran it with, IIRC it was a minimal effort, lets bolt this on and run a dyno curve type build. But possibly a stock cam not withstanding it was surprising.

Personally I'm too cheap to buy two sets of everything. Plus I wouldn't have the hood clearance for that forward carb.

Thanks, interesting reading. Curious if anyone has any input on the difference between the two intakes though, not so much on dual quads in general.

the one in the lower pic you can take a hi-ram dual quad top and mount upside down on it and then put another top on it to make a large plenum forced induction intake.
