Lol, no. This pump is for keeping fluid on the front cluster set in the transmission under hard launches.

Interesting. What type of lubricant will your new set up use?

That makes sense then. It does not hang on to the components like gear oil does.

IIRC, jonathan mentioned synchromesh for faceplated t56s. but that conversation was held at the beginning of our diagnosis with the trans failure back before the trans was sent and decisions on what the updates would be had been made. i've slept a time or two since then and simply cannot remember what he said.

Well, i was able to get the borrowed transmission in the car last night and got the tubes in place. obviously i'm not done yet. need to address the transmission "crossmember" portion of the cross tube (gonna cut the tube, put some 2 bolt flanges on either end, and going to brace that trans mount a bit as i know that angle iron barely welded to the bar isn't going to cut it as is). anyway, here's the progress pictures:

got the subframe rail stuff finished up

i have a feeling the hydlaulics are going to take some effort to get bled as we spent about 30 mins fooling with them, yet i don't feel like i have a full pedal yet. i figured the restrictor would bring some challenges. hope i can get it bled

Disregard the rest of my post. I just noticed the center is removable!

haha, number 1 question asked: "how do you get the trans out without taking the engine out". a lot of that came before i finished it up, but a little bit even after.

Yup, that's how I did mine with the 4L80. Didn't have a choice since the Trans mint site sits so far back.

Thank you millermatic 211! lol

Exhaust going over or under the connectors?
