Yep, live in Lincoln Park outside of Detroit. Milan is the track I go to. Used to drive to Detroit Drag way when they were open on the drag slicks

Well, good luck. That beast has a little extra weight for making it happen. I will be a bit before any track time with the mustang not having a Trans and the s10 pending parts. Gotta get creative for the s10 with some home made style caltracs when the rear goes in after everything else.

I would like to see how that Mustang would react with a different cam. Something with an earlier intake valve close.

zane, if you want, come on over and trace down a template of my caltracs and take a measurement/part inventory I had all of the measurements to make my own and realized that I cannot build them myself to match the quality and finish of a caltrac cheaper than they sell them. not even counting the time i would have into making them. i do see where people slap some together and call it a day, and it works. it's just not my style to slap a rough cut spray painted part on my build i guess.

in that case, give me a week to get the sliders bolted up and the transmission wired. we can take it for a stroll arund the block. The dr released me to light work outs in the gym starting monday, so i figure that means i can tinker with the truck again.

the 3 or 4 miles i have on the truck are sketchy....spring sliders clamped to the frame, no rear diff cover, no transmission controller so i only have revers and 2nd gear...i realized the other night that i never bolted the tail housing of the transmission to the crossmember i had no problems mashing the gas a little. could have ended bad.

Good Luck !
Are you planning on making a full 1/4 pass with your car set on "Kill" ?...And maybe a 9 sec slip ?. You must be friends with the tech guy......roll bar !.

When I went to the track up here (Mission raceway) the tech guy straight up asked me how fast I planned to run, And told me about the roll bar rule. "Luckily" My car is not that quick in the quarter. It would never be worth it to chase 60 fts here and then get kicked out for going too quick.
