Send me your address. All I would want is the shipping cost.

It's just a db9 serial cable.

You can get em for next to nothing on eBay. I think I paid less than $3 for the last one I bought

You don't have any old printer cables laying around? Check your box of dead computer equipment or the bottom of a junk draw somewhere. Maybe your neighbor's or work's box of dead computer equipment.

BTW, chances are you could bend the pin back straight and it will work

it was shoved all the way into the connector just before the very tip of it bent over. there is maybe 1/8" of the pin sticking up.

Fwiw I had to break off either pin 6 or pin 9 to make my cord work. I think it was pin 9.

I have like 20 of them, why do you post here instead of calling the sole person you know that's done 20 carbed LS swaps? Lol.

the adapter is in the mail....i think it was actually #9 that is shoved in/bent. it's the bottom pin at the far right side. i wonder if someone reached in with cutters and snipped it off.

is MSD really this ghetto?

then bring one over along with your 750 carb. throw in a baseline tune and lets go for a drive. i think my booster is bad, so it can be interesting lol. i'll return your carb when i get mine back from quik fuel

and you can take some measurements of my traction bars while you're here.

New laptop forced me to buy an adapter from USB to serial

Anywho....Radio Shack is good for this stuff too...But since Zones offer was best, I'd go that way.

i leave early and get home late during the week. i still need to get a few things done before we can actually drive it (safely). oh, and the trans controller is set up for an 80e and i'm still waiting for the tuning software to come in so i can change it over to 60e. still has no rear shocks (being custom built now) no rear diff cover, leaf springs are finger tight and there is no seats/carpet. hoping to knock all of that out this weekend. and you can swing by early next week. the following weekend i want to get it aligned and have exhaust installed.

It was probably done on purpose. I had to break #9 off of mine to get it to connect. Some adapters use pin 9 for a 5 volt power source and those adapters won't connect to the MSD box until you break off the pin.
