Not sure about LS1, but a member went 9.8x with a stock bottom end 6.0 with some milled 799s and a cam.

Yea, not sure on the grand daddy LS1, but there are some seriously fast 6.0s out there!

i've run 10.000@135.5 with a stock bottom end 6.0 and unported heads (shaved 100thou though)

dave mizell has run 9.87 with similar 6.0 combo

Very impressive working on buddy of mine car we doing the motor first no nitrous he is running 10.90 with cam and heads ported victor jr built 4l80 then spray comes later

Fastest....one of our road race cars hit 182 in the tri-oval at Daytona with a stock bottom end, save for Katech rod bolts. Had 5.3 heads, something like 588 cam, GMPP intake and 750 Holley. In a 2800 # with driver, tube frame SCCA GTA/SPO car.

Probably not what you were lookin' for! I thought it was impressive though.

There are many mid 10 second SBE carbureted LS cars running around. And more than we could know 9 second SBE LS Powered tin can Mustangs at tracks across the country. I have seen a few in the 5s in the 1/8th. With that being said, somebody is probably somebody in the 8s in the 1/4.
