Default Nitrous cam suggestions for a streeable 5.3

Alright I need some help and or opinions on how to go about my 5.3 build. I'm in no rush to do this so I'm wanting to take my sweet time and choose the right cam the first time. I'm starting with a stock 5.3 lm7 that is obviously going to be a carb setup in a foxbody (of course). I will be keeping the stock heads, getting them cleaned up. Possibly new valves, ported and polished if necessary? It will be behind a nice th350, no stall yet but would like a decent one maybe 4000? I will drive this car on the street ALOT so I need it street able. Do you guys think I should just save my pennies for a custom grind or settle for an off the shelf cam? I like the comp ***** thumpr cam but haven't found many others. I love a thumpy idle but still needs to be street able. Thanks in advance for any opinions/ suggestions

Something around 220-224 duration 560-580 lift with 110 lsa would work good I think.

With no stall your gonna be pretty limited. I think your on the right track for some kind of shelf cam. I wouldnt waste my money on a custom grind if you dont have the stall. Maybe pickup a good used cam on here for now. Lots of guys take out their smaller cams to go bigger.

This one calls for a small stall. Just throwing something out there.

Thanks guys! I will be using a stall I just haven't bought one yet. I'd like to have a 3500-4000 stall. Is there any negative to having "too big of a stall" for the selected cam? Just trying to get a better idea of exactly how you match a cam and stall together . Thanks

A lot of variables. Weight is very important. Some people will tell you a 4000 is way to big for the street but its just what ever you think is too much. A lot of stall causes heat so thats more to think about. A 4000 would suck if you are constantly driving in a city with stop and go traffic. But if you live in gods country, it wouldnt be a problem. Just more to think about.

Yeah I think a 3500 would be good for where I live. I'm thinking of going with a 150 shot. My car should weigh in the 2800-3000lbs range
